RMF Oil Quality Sensor
Monitoring the oil condition of hydraulic systems or oil tanks in real time, whilst the equipment is in normal operation, can significantly reduce operating costs. Specialist RMF Systems now introduces OQS: Oil Quality Sensors with a patented state of the art technology that provide unparalleled real time monitoring accuracy. Easy visibility and control for every operator help prevent unnecessary down time and costly repairs.
RMF’s technology deploys a unique combination of hardware and software. OQS constantly detects and monitors moisture, oxidisation, contamination, acid build up, wear particles, additive breakdown and many more elements. Via the display, the operator can ‚read‘ the oil condition at any given moment in time; including rate of change data.
60 times more accurate
The core technology that RMF Systems patented, results in up to sixty times more accurate condition monitoring than any other sensor. Extensive evaluations and tests have demonstrated this repeatedly.
Clients already using equipment-monitoring systems can simply add the OQS: a number of standard interfaces (e.g. 4-20mA, CANBUS and RS232/RS485) allow the presenting of all detailed information. Alternatively, results can be instantly displayed on the various RMF Systems stand-alone and PC display systems, such as the OQD display unit pictured below.
RMF Systems products are engineered, tested, certified and proven to operate reliably in the harshest of environments. This enables the equipment to be permanently installed within any lubrication system, on any type of machinery and in any type of oil; from the largest gearboxes in heavy earth moving equipment or wind turbines to high-pressure hydraulic systems or more specialised applications such as diesel gas engines. Multiple test cases and studies have proven the significant cost benefits associated with accurate oil condition monitoring. Breakdowns and equipment failures are dramatically reduced, whilst service intervals can be scheduled according to ’need‘ rather than fixed, often-arbitrary time intervals.
„This truly is a revolution in oil condition monitoring. Until today, sensors could only give a very rough indication of oil condition. With our state of the art technology you know the exact condition of your oil at all times, so you know when to conduct a service, saving many thousands of Euro’s in lost operating time and unnecessary servicing costs; not to mention benefiting the environment“, says Gerben Gerken, Manager Oil Management Hydraulics.
